The Decision

After a great deal of thinking over the past two months I've decided that I won't be repeating Supernova Elite in 2010. Instead, I plan on putting in either 700k or 800k VPPs on the year, while enjoying the extra time off and lower stress associated. I'm going to try to put in slightly higher volume during the first 9 months relative to the final 3 to take maximum advantage of my 5x FPP modifier while I have it. I suppose if there was a mid year Stars promo that dished out a free 100k VPPs like last year, I might consider a late year push - but as it stands currently I plan to have a nice relaxing year and enjoy the freedom of being a pro poker player.

On to other things. The Calgary Flames have had the craziest week of any NHL team in a long time. Because there basically has to be a much bigger "end game" trade made before the deadline for any of D. Sutter's decisions to make sense, I will reserve judgement until the trade deadline. If nothing further happens, the latter of his two recent trades (swapping Jokinen and Prust for Kotalik and Higgins) is down right ridiculous.

I've been playing some of the downloadable PS3 game Vandal Hearts 3 of late. I read one pretty positive review from a source I generally trust, and I've got to say I was expecting a much better experience. I love TRPGs but VH3 just isn't doing it for me. It plays like $14.99 title, so I guess I'm getting what I paid for. Fortunately for me, the Star Ocean 4 PS3 port comes out in a week.
