Gaming Backlog and Yay Flames

-- Status Update --
2009 VPPs:  866,147
SNE Pace:  109,907 AHEAD
Currently Playing:  Black Sigil: Blade of the Exalted (DS)

My start to October has been mediocre in terms of poker. I've been running what for me is actually probably above average, but poorly in terms of absolutes (6 BI below AIEV so far on the month). I've managed to make a little money mostly thanks to a few big pots over a very small number of hands at 400nl.

Graph:

The Flames home opener was pretty good. It featured an amazing light show the likes of which the Saddledome has never seen, and the Flames absolutely dominated the first period against the Canucks. Unfortunately they then when to sleep, but managed to pull out a 5-3 win. Tonight they triumphed in Edmonton playing a similar game, winning 4-3 with the game winner being scored with a minute left due to some of the most shameful goaltending I've ever witnessed (lol stupid Oilers). It is somewhat worrying that Iginla and Regehr have yet to play decently, but I'm not going to panic as a two game sample doesn't mean much. Kiprusoff has been very very good despite being a notorious slow starter.

As an avid gamer, I figure it is sort of inevitable that I have reached the point at which I buy games I want faster than I am able to finish them. Currently I'm something like 65% through Black Sigil, and have Persona and Disgaea 2 (both for the PSP) sitting unopened ready to be played. Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story for the DS also looks very tempting and has been reviewed very well, so I may have to pick that up and add to the queue. On top of this, the girlfriend and I haven't logged into Aion for almost a week, which doesn't bode well, though hopefully as we move into new content it'll become more exciting.
