I'm quite certain I've never experienced quite so much change in such a short period of time before, and it is very possible I never will again. The bulk of the moving into my new house is complete, which is great. I said my goodbyes to those at the software development company I have worked at for almost four years, as my last day was the 9th. My girlfriend of the past three plus years and I have decided to go our separate ways, so I am slowly adapting back to single life. It feels like it's been a long time, 'cause it has. All this to deal with, in less than a week?
Poker has been the status quo, I put in a somewhat lengthy session tonight and made around ~$550 between winnings and rakeback. At the least I didn't run badly. The next few weeks will continue to be very interesting, as I get into a routine to support the necessary poker volume, while getting all the necessary errands done to complete the move. On top of that, I'm sure I'll be spending more time with my best friend Will, whom is also going through the ending of a long term relationship.
I wish I could just feel normal again right away, but perhaps that is too much to ask for. Life wouldn't be interesting without lots of twists, I guess.
(P.S. There will be pictures of the new house on the blog in the next couple weeks. I've still got stuff left to organize and set up!)
